Shaping Clear and Competent Messengers of the Truth

The fundamental conviction underlying the work of Cornhill Scotland is that when the Bible is taught God speaks, His voice is heard clearly today. We do that in a variety of ways:

Cornhill Training Course

The Cornhill Training Course offers training in biblical expository ministry. Our primary aim is to equip men to preach. We're also pleased to prepare men and women for other Bible-teaching ministries.

Pastors Training Course

The Pastors' Training Course is a three year course of on-the-job theological training designed to provide further theological education for those who have completed the Cornhill Training Course.

Conferences

Held in Scotland throughout the year, on a range of themes our conferences are for anyone interested in Bible teaching ministry, whether trainee, minister or layman with a passion for expository teaching.

Cornhill Scotland
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden death of one of our PTC students. Ernest Mulenga, 37, arrived in the UK last weekend from Zambia, to attend the introductory residential week of our Pastors Training Course (Cornhill Scotland). He died in his sleep on Thursday 5th September, on the penultimate day of the residential week. There had been no suggestion beforehand that he was unwell. As well as pastoring a church, Ernest played a key role in training pastors and advancing expository preaching in Zambia. Despite having significant pastoral experience and theological qualifications, he joined the course to equip himself more thoroughly for this important task. He leaves behind his wife Annie, his daughter Mishael (7) and his twin sons, Raphael and Nathaniel (4). Please join us in praying for this dear family.——Great God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ we come before you with heavy hearts that in your wisdom you have called our dear brother Ernest home to yourself. We are sorrowing greatly. Please give us consciousness of your faithfulness and comfort in your goodness. Please be with Ernest's dear family, please protect them all from harbouring harsh thoughts of you and provide everything they need in these desperately tragic days. Please prosper their church and build on the shore foundation laid by our faithful friend. Thank you that the Lord Jesus Christ whom Ernest served in faith now fills his gaze, and that Jesus has again been proven faithful in saving to the uttermost those who come to him in faith. Father God please continue to form us into the likeness of your Son and do this through triumph, tragedy and trial all for your glory and our ultimate and eternal good. Thank you that a day is soon coming when death will be swallowed whole and forever when the victorious resurrected Jesus returns, give us faith to persevere with joy until that day, in Jesus' conquering name we pray, Amen ...
