Shaping Clear and Competent Messengers of the Truth

The fundamental conviction underlying the work of Cornhill Scotland is that when the Bible is taught God speaks, His voice is heard clearly today. We do that in a variety of ways:

Cornhill Training Course

The Cornhill Training Course offers training in biblical expository ministry. Our primary aim is to equip men to preach. We're also pleased to prepare men and women for other Bible-teaching ministries.

Pastors Training Course

The Pastors' Training Course is a three year course of on-the-job theological training designed to provide further theological education for those who have completed the Cornhill Training Course.

Conferences

Held in Scotland throughout the year, on a range of themes our conferences are for anyone interested in Bible teaching ministry, whether trainee, minister or layman with a passion for expository teaching.

Cornhill Mission Weeks! ⛪🌍🤝 📖Over the past few weeks, our Cornhill students have been on ‘Mission Weeks’. These are short-term trips designed to give them insight into different ministry contexts and opportunities to serve in new ways. They worked hard, served wholeheartedly, and formed many new friendships. Most importantly, they saw the Lord at work in the churches and ministries they visited. One team travelled to Ballycraigy Congregational Church in Northern Ireland. Their week was full as they taught the Bible to children, young people and adults in both the church and local schools. The students spoke warmly of the kindness, hospitality and encouragement they received, which left a lasting impression.Another team travelled north to Buckie Baptist Church. It was a busy and fruitful week of ministry. The students were especially struck by the church’s prayerfulness and its sincere desire to reach the local community. They were deeply grateful for the warm welcome they received.Three students spent the week serving at Yoker Evangelical Church in Glasgow. There were many opportunities to help—supporting a drop-in café, youth and children’s work, prayer meetings, and preaching on Sunday. They returned encouraged by the church’s evident love for Christ and the depth of discipleship within its life together.A further team travelled to Carlisle to serve alongside several local Anglican churches. It was an immensely varied week, including speaking at quiz nights and in schools, addressing seniors’ meetings, and preaching on Sunday. The team greatly valued serving in such diverse settings and were encouraged by the partnership they experienced. We are sincerely thankful to Andrew, Graham, Grieg, Tudor, Andrew and Kieran for the generous way they hosted, guided and encouraged our students throughout these weeks.Other students supported Christian Union Events Weeks, while some served churches with which they already have close links. All have returned with stories of God’s faithfulness, having seen his Word at work in people’s lives, sometimes quietly, sometimes in wonderfully unexpected ways. ... See MoreSee Less
