Jon Gemmell : Leviticus
Friday 30th October 2026
10:00-16:30 (registration & coffee from 9:30)
Culloden Balloch Baptist Church, Inverness
Come and join us for the day as we spend time digging deep into the book of Leviticus together.
Leviticus is not for wimps! Right in the middle of the Pentateuch is a book brimming with blood, bulls, boils, bats, butchering and rock badgers. Leviticus is a book we like skipping over, never quite giving it the attention it deserves. This is a shame because Leviticus really is the foundation of so much of the rest of the Bible. Leviticus helps us understand amongst other things the person and work of the Lord Jesus more clearly.
So please, come to our Cornhill Book in a Day event where we will spend time over four sessions starting to see the beauty, majesty and story of this remarkable OT book.
This event will be particularly helpful for pastors, church leaders, women’s workers, lay preachers, Bible study leaders, youth and children’s workers or anyone desiring to enjoy their Bibles more.

Jon is the Director of the Scottish Cornhill Training Course. He has been a missionary in Lebanon, a theological student at Aberdeen University and part of the first intake of Cornhill Scotland. Having finished Cornhill, he was the Assistant Minister at Plains Evangelical Church near Airdrie, and then the first pastor of Bruntsfield Evangelical Church in Edinburgh. For five years Jon was the Director for Conferences and Resources at The Proclamation Trust in London. In 2021, Jon returned to Scotland to join the team at Cornhill in Glasgow.
Jon is married to Aileen who is a civil servant, and they have a six-year old son called Isaac who is currently unemployed but giving his all in P2.
Doors open at 9:30 for coffee and registration. We start promptly at 10:00. Lunch and all light refreshments will be provided as well as all the teaching material.
The cost of the day is £20 per person or £10 for students or unwaged. For groups of 3 or more there is a flat rate of £60. If the cost is a problem, then please contact us and we will do what we can.
